Burlesque Birthday

My dear friend Moongirl had a special birthday surprise for my 53 birthday. I love the wonderment of it all.

Moongirl, you are so cool.

Luv you.

A special evening out calls for a special evening dress. And a Special Troll in coordinating ensemble. I don't sew but I am a wiz with Duct Tape or a Glue Gun.

My favorite color. Grinch Green.
Six rolls of the green and three rolls for the boots and trim. Lest we forget the gown and handbag by Ittikatz
for the troll Lady Geneva.

When Moongirl said she had a surprise in store for me,
she did not miss the boat.
An ideal Wrist Corsage. In my colors. Squeal!!

Moongirl looking smashing in sun yellow.

Modeling (and gloating) for her fellow companions in the background.

Geneva wanted to bring her boyfriend Flat Stanley. The show has sold out, so......
The Tiny Belle of the Ball, Geneva.

A lovely birthday at Lakewood Theater for Burlesque with my friend Moongirl and the Tiny Diva Geneva.

Bald is Beautiful Unless You're A Troll

May 19, 2013
Kept hearing light weeping in the night for a few weeks in our homes office(Yes, they share the office with my I Love Lucy Memorabilia).
Tucked in the back of the second bookshelf was this beauty. Our new puppy Picosita Cuba Libre must have gotten hold of this troll and ripped her hair off.  My better half really likes the puppy, but knows I would have a cow with purple spots if I'd witnessed this horror.
Poor little thing. I can't let it go bald. There is a NO BULLYING POLICY with my Trolls and they know to break that rule means spending a few nights outside in the flowerbeds!!!
What to do, what to do. I'm not buying two inches of felt, fabric of fluff for this little one, so I decide to trim the ends of my dreadlocks/redlocks, take your pick, and grace this troll with a piece of me.

Amazing what a little imagination, Tacky Glue, dreadlock tips and scissors can do.

St Patty's Island Style

Isla Mujeres - yes, my five mile island.  I've gotten people addicted to this slice of paradise.  I've left a dozen trolls upon these shores.

2006- - - Isla had its first St. Patricks' Day Party down Hidalgo, the main pedestrian only street in town.  I was happy to be a part of it{It was also part of the Bert and Wheyda Wedding}. A few streamers, green balloons, green beer and gallons of green tequila were at most establishments. Introduced first to Miguel of Miguel's Moonlite Club and Restaurant - he has taken it to another level.  Bands, Irish music, beer cap lights for the lady's Ta-Ta's

These photos are 2011 when I went solo to the island. Well, not solo. My Bodyguard G.I. Troll was my companion. G.I. doesn't drink at night. He knows his limits. I respect a troll who knows when to say "WHEN".

Throwing in a few from 2010's  towards the end.

Vivacious Vera sans clothing and Stella Star. It was 2 x 1 Pomegranate Margaritas at Miguel's.
BEST IN THE WORLD and will knock you into yesterday so you can rethink how many of these you actually want to consume.

Vera was working on her second set of  'ritas. This was also the night we discovered she was a Drag Queen.  She tucks pretty good.  Fooled me all these years.

Stella checking out the, uh, package Vera has been concealing!!!!!! My pal Kodi doesn't mind with way!

Stella gives kisses!

Don't ask - won't tell!!! Fun Fools is all I'm saying.

Green Beverages makes the women lean.

This shirt of mine was a gift to Apache, a dear friend of mine on the island.

Was offered $40 for my trolls.  If it were $40 each - SOLD.  Sadly it was 40 pesos which is $4.00 US. Because he was on the Road to Vomitus, I didn't punch him.

Green Guy really, REALLY had the hots for Vivacious Vera.  That's a little sick Dude. Listen to me. I can't talk, I travel with Trolls....and people find that delightful.

A few from 2010 -

Bert and Wheyda 5th Anniversary

Still scanning the Wedding of Bert Just Bert and Wheyda Minute. Bert was so nervous about renewing the vows. This was a surprise renewal he planned for his wife. It was all I could do to keep my lips sealed.  The renewal was held at Shell House, Isla Mujeres.
Playa Lancheros for a Mojito that knocked our socks off!

We tried to tell Bert he needed to eat first before we slogged down that Mojito!
This is the bedroom balcony of The Shell House with the Caribbean in the distance.

As far East as you can go in Mexico.  This part of the island is the first to see the sunrise in Mexico/Yucatan Peninsula. Cancun is towards the right on the horizon line, a twenty  minute ferry ride away....if you have the urge to go there.

Wheyda just enjoying the holiday with her Boo!

Bert always has this 'surprised' look on his face, so Wheyda suspects nothing.

Looking towards Cuba, Cancun behind them. I couldn't pass up this loving photo.

Re-enacting their wedding day kiss.

He still makes her blush.

BFF's Vivacious Vera and G.I.
While the lovebirds were soaking up sun and sucking each others lips, the BFF's who came along set up a Shell Sanctuary for the vows.

Witnessing this loving event, are Vivacious Vera and G.I. Troll. Be warned, Vera rarely wears clothes.  But when she heard the island Seamstress,  Hortencia was making her gown, she promised to stay in it during the ceremony.  Wheyda is wearing a gown by designer A. Healey from California. Crown and shell bouquet from the Caribbean Ocean a few feet away.

Wheyda could not believe Bert pulled this off without her knowledge. Five years of marriage and this man of hers still has a few tricks up his sleeves.

BACKSTORY
Bert was found by me on the side of the trash dump here on the island. Poor, pitiful, ear missing but the look of longing and self worth lingering in his eyes.  I cleaned him up at my late friend Big Jim's house. Bert became something of a celebrity with the islander.  People were wanting to purchase or steal him from me.  What was stolen were glances Wheyda and Bert were giving each other when my back was turned. Wheyda fell in love the moment she laid eyes on him. They were married three days later.

Officiating this go round is Stella Star. Wedding Planner and Goddess to the celebrities in Nebraska.
Human Guests from Texas, Canada, California and Wisconsin were invited to the reception.
The Menu
Mexican Ribs, Chips with Oxaca Cheese and Ranchero Dipping Sauce, Isla Rice and Twisted Coleslaw.
Hornito and Jose Cuervo Tequilas, Vodka, Crown with mixers rounded out the fun evening.

We took our cue to let the lovebirds do what they do best.
Nine months later child Number Two arrives.....

The Morning After

Wheyda is sleeping in.
Bert is shouting "Te Amo Wheyda" to the morning.
